Dr Majed Khadem
Newcastle University
Majed completed his PhD at University of Manchester where he worked on 'Economic Valuation of Inter-Annual Reservoir Storage in Water Resources Systems: Theory, Development, and Applications'. His PhD was funded by EPSRC, University of Manchester, and University College London. Then he moved to Newcastle University as a post-doc researcher and joined the Twenty65's theme 8 (Foresight and Integration). In this theme, he is responsible for modelling toolkit development as well as collaborating with other project members from various themes. Majed's research interest include water resources planning and management, hydrology, multi-criteria decision making, simulation/optimisation models applied to water and environmental systems, hydro-economic modelling, mathematical and evolutionary optimisation, climate change adaptation and resilience, and planning under deep uncertainty.
